3 Do’s and Don’ts of Social Media Marketing
--
There is a long list of what to do and what not to do on social media. In this article, it is my goal to relay 3 do’ s and don’ts of social media marketing.
Let’s start out with the don’ts of social media marketing:
Don’ts
- Don’t ask for the sale
I see this mistake all too often from businesses and brands. Whenever they post, it is some sort of call to action. Like “click here to buy!”, “buy now!” things like that.
This is one of the worst things you can do if you’re trying to attract consumers to your product/service. This method of posting will leave you in a position where you don’t want to be, which is “why are we not seeing results on social media?” The answer to this question? These people I like to call fake followers.
3. Don’t post content that you like
This is a key point. You have to post content that your audience will enjoy seeing. I’ve mentioned this in previous articles. The content you post should be content that will interest your audience. One of the best ways of doing this is to see what is trending on the different platforms.
Another way to gauge the interest of your followers is to simply run a poll on Twitter or Instagram. Asking your audience a question about something and then getting…
