“Hecato says, ‘cease to hope and you will cease to fear.’…The primary cause of both these ills is that instead of adapting ourselves to present circumstances we send out thoughts too far ahead.” — Seneca

Fear: the killer of dreams.

As someone who has been on this earth for 26 years, fear has been prevalent in each one.

We wouldn’t be human beings if we didn’t fear — the fear of the unknown, fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of success.

We live with these fears every single day. Whether we realize it or not.

When my eyes open in the morning, the fear of rejection and failure wakes up with them.

  • “What if this meeting doesn’t go how I anticipate it?”
  • “What if someone tells me to F off because they’re busy when I call them?”
  • “What if this deal falls through?”

Every single day that fear is there. Most days that fear wins.

Have you noticed when you peel back the layers, all fear boils down to the question, “What if?”.
