This Quote Changed My Perspective and It Will Change Your’s Too

I am currently reading the book Rise and Grind by Daymond John of Shark Tank.
As the days go by of reading this book, I find myself going back to the very beginning of the book every. single. day.
There is this quote, even before you reach chapter 1. It’s a pre-quote I guess you can say. I read it once and I was speechless. I read it again and I was still speechless. It may be one of the deepest things I have ever heard. It puts things into perspective. It makes you evaluate the position you find yourself in. And it makes you keep reading it, over and over and over.
Something new pops out every single time I read those words. You’re probably saying hurry up and reveal the quote already. Well, here it is, be ready to be blown away.

Is that not one of the truest things you have ever heard? People spend their entire lives trying to chase their dreams to make money. Then they finally accomplish their dreams when they’re already 75 with the clock ticking faster and faster.
The day they looked forward to for years and years happens in a blink of an eye. Then they wonder what happened to the time. Wishing that they could get it back to enjoy the journey more thoroughly.
You work 18 hour days in order to accomplish something that you want to happen in 10, 20, 30 years from that moment. Therefore you sacrifice sleep and rest.
You skip your exercise routine once in order to work harder on your dreams. Before you know it, you’ve missed your 2nd, 3rd, and 10th straight workout. Therefore…
