All of us have heard of Facebook advertising. We see ads all the time in our news feeds as we scroll to see what our relatives are up too. Some of them catch our eye, and some of them don’t.

Brand awareness is great for a first ad. If you decided it was time to start Facebook advertising, then a brand awareness ad would be wise to start out with. The premise of this campaign objective is to bring awareness to your brand.

Have your target audience get to know you. Produce a 3-5 minute video introducing yourself and business. Warm up your audience to you a little bit.

A brand awareness objective can also be used to drive more traffic to a website. There are plenty of options when it comes to this campaign objective. Use this objective whenever you’re trying to bring awareness to your brand. Get creative!

Reach

A reach campaign objective is meant to maximize the number of audience members over a period of time.

A reach ad is great when you have a limited time offer or when you’re creating remarketing campaigns.

Maybe you’re a pizza place with a limited time offer coming up. An intriguing offer would be buying one large pizza, and getting one free. This type of offer would be perfect for a reach campaign.

One thing to note with a reach campaign is that Facebook will optimize for the highest number of possible impressions, with no consideration for clicks and actions taken by the people who see your ads.
